Photos of the Week - Honeymoon in St. Pete

We finished up our honeymoon yesterday. We went to a resort in St. Petersburg, Florida. It was a really good and relaxing week. We were there from Sunday through Thursday. It was great to go during these times since there were hardly any people there. That's just what we were looking for for our honeymoon.

Here are some of the better photos we took:

Edited out photos

Me (with very stupid hair) and Qian on the beach with a rainbow in the background

Our honeymoon was perfect. We couldn't have really asked for a better few days.

Crabby Bill's is awesome. Happens to be my favorite as well in that area. I grew up in Florida and ate there when visiting the Tampa/St Pete area. Been a while since I was there but I assume they still have it setup like an indoor picnic with all the picnic tables and such. May do it differently at other locations though.

Gonna go out on a limb and guess that you guys stayed at the Don Cesare. Getting that vibe from the photos, and well its a pretty popular honeymooners hotel. Anyways, seems it was an awesome time and Qian seems to be taking nicely to America :)

I didn't realize that you are from Florida, Hopfrog. We liked our time there.

Crabby Bill's was like an indoor picnic with the long picnic tables and all.

It's funny you mention the Don Cesar. That's where we were going to stay. But it was just too damn expensive. The only rooms they had the week we went were $200+ a night. They also wouldn't give any AAA discounts or anything either.

So we stayed at the Tradewinds Grand Island. We were there during the week Sunday through Thurs so we pretty much had the place to ourselves. That was nice considering it was our honeymoon.

We did go to the Don Cesar's Maritana (sp?) Grill for our big nice meal of the week. They had all sorts of tropical fish tanks in the restaurant. That was cool. The seafood there was sublime as well.

After we visited the Don Cesar, we were happy that we didn't end up staying there. It was a bit, uh, stuffy for us at this point in our lives. I'd recommend it to people with lots of money though. Very classy place.
